This summer I decided I needed to do something different but worthwhile, so that’s exactly what I did and Mercieca was definitely the right place to do so.
I’ve spent a week doing work experience with their PR & Social team, knowing almost nothing and I can definitely say that now, at the end of my week I’ve learnt a great deal.
I started rather curious and quite nervous but it only took the first hour after walking in the Mercieca door to get rid of the nerves. Largely down to the warm and incredibly welcoming people that fill the offices.
Throughout my week I have seen the many ins and outs of a busy press office. I got to help with lots of different projects for some of their many clients such as Brooks Running and KP Snacks. I’ve learnt lots and even helped shoot social content for a new Sellotape campaign.
I worked with almost all of the Mercieca team, who are all so kind and clearly love what they do. They got me involved in so many different elements of what their work life and even took me out to explore Camden’s many food stalls and deli’s!
I genuinely enjoyed my week. Definitely the best agency I could have spent time in and I leave with a pile of knowledge – I won’t ever read a newspaper or magazine in the same way again! I really appreciate how everyone welcomed me and made me feel part of the team.
