Steve Jobs famously said: ‘It’s not the tools you have faith in. Tools are just tools. They work, or they don’t work. It’s the people you have faith in or not.”
Whilst we’re not claiming to be tech magnates like Mr Jobs, this rings true with us at Mercieca and our approach to our team. Without our people we can’t deliver and execute the high standards our clients have come to rightly expect from us.
And so, finding and hiring the best talent that we have faith in is a continual focus for us. As is supporting the next generation of talent.
Two of our latest recruits have both enthusiasm and personality in spades…introducing Rosie Tuck and Paul Longley, our brilliant new Press Assistants.
Rosie recently graduated from Cardiff University and has hit the ground running with her hunger to learn. Already supporting on major activations for Weetabix’s FA partnership and our Halloween Hotel for Fruittella, as well as securing national coverage for brands.
PR is new endeavour for Paul, having previously worked as an actor (you can spot him in old episodes of Hollyoaks, Call the Midwife and more...) and as a comedy writer for projects with the BBC and Sky. His natural flair for writing means he has instantly transferrable skills, and he’s also already landing articles across leading trade and regional titles.
“People have always been at the heart of our business, and supporting the next generation of talent in our industry is something that we’re committed to. Both Paul and Rosie have brought energy and enthusiasm to the team, and a hunger to learn. It’s a pleasure to work with, and nurture them both, and we’ll be harnessing and honing their skill sets further to help them carve out successful careers at Mercieca.”
